1. Do I have “The Right Stuff” to do fine art painting? Yes. You will be successful if you try. 2. Do I need to know how to draw before taking a class with DZArtStudio.com? Not necessarily. Drawing will be encouraged; but transferring and tracing patterns is quite acceptable. 3. How much do I need to know about art/painting to participate? Nothing -- a lot -- a little; I will help you progress from where you are at your own speed. 4. What happens if I have personal or family commitments that might limit my attendance? Flexibility to miss a class and then jump back in is acceptable. You will not “get behind” because you will be working on your own project. 5. Can I sample your class before committing to it? Yes. Please come by and observe any class. See what others are working on and get a feeling of what we do. 6. What happens if I don’t have anything in mind I want to paint but I still want to attend? Bring in a photograph, calendar page, a painting you admire, etc. and we can work off that. I have many examples in the studio to follow as well. 7. How long will it take to complete a project? It depends on what your project is and how accomplished you are. 8. What if I want to try a different medium then the rest of the class? No problem. This is the place to try out new materials. 9. Is there a contract I must sign before attending your class? There is no contract; you pay as you go, class-by-class. The only exception is if you would like to reserve your spot in a particular class. To do so, you have the option to pay for the classes for the month in advance. 10. Is there a structured start/stop time to get into class? No. This is an “open-studio class” which means your project starts when you enter the studio. However, if you regularly attend a particular session, for example, the Thursday morning session, and you are not able to make it, please give me the courtesy to know you won’t be there. This allows a student who may be waiting to use your spot for that session. 11.When and how do I pay? I collect fees at the end of each class. I accept cash or personal checks; no credit cards or debit cards. 12. Do you supply the materials I will use in the class? If not, how will I know what I will need? Bring what you have. I generously allow students to use my supplies as well (within reason). 13. If I leave a class early (before the two or three hour time limit) what will I be charged? The class fee is $10.00 per hour. If a student comes late or leaves early, that is their prerogative; but they pay for the full hour. 14. Is the class limited as to what media is taught/used; that is, must we all work with the same materials? Can I do cartooning while everyone else is painting? Different projects and associated materials will be used within one class setting. This is what is so unique about DZArtStudio.com classes; that is, the autonomy of the individual to choose what they are going to do and what paints they will use. 15. When a class is over for the day, must I take my project and materials with me or do you store them for the next class? I store the wet painting until your next session. You will take your supplies home with you when you leave that particular day. Home Page About Debra's Art Studio Fine Art Class Contact Me Fine Art Website
