My name is Debra Zacharias. Debbie for short. I am the proprietor and director of Debra Zacharias Art Studio. I sincerely hope your stay here is both informative and enjoyable. Purpose Of Debra Zacharias’ Art Studio My intention and desire for this art studio is to provide a setting in which beginning and experienced art students can develop their skills in a warm, professional, knowledgeable, and understanding environment. Regardless of your level of art painting expertise and know-how there is a place for you in my art studio. Many artists are self-taught, learning from books, magazines, and even the Internet. But, the best way to learn is by attending classes in person. There is no substitute for a good teacher who will give you the benefits of her experience and explain and demonstrate the various techniques. Can I Learn How To Become an Artist? Can you learn how to paint and become and artist? Absolutely! That may be one of the primary reasons you have visited my studio today; to see if there actually is anything here for you. You may have an interest in learning how to paint; but have questions of how to get started. Taking classes at a home studio is a perfect way to learn what products to use and when to use them. Confidentially prepare a surface and learn new approaches and techniques to incorporate when painting your favorite themes. Use my knowledge and suggestions along with a range of supplies and samples so you do not have to go to great expense to get started. Beginner students welcome this as well as experienced painters who might want to try a different medium without incurring a high cost. I take great pride and pleasure in working one-on-one with each student to perfect their techniques and bring them to the next level. It is quite natural to question your own abilities in art; but, to see a creation take place under your own hands and imagination is a one-only experience. Set your fears and doubts aside and give it a try. You will not be sorry. What We Do and How We Do It Each class is very flexible with the content and complexity varying from class-to-class, project-to-project and from student-to-student. My art studio is located at my home yet is conveniently detached from the house in its own building which is devoted only to art and all that is associated with it. It can comfortably accommodate up to six students with no interference between them. ll Each student is given individualized attention on whatever project they have chosen to create. The other students in the class will each be working on their own projects. All students build skills and progress at their own pace. A bonus to everyone is learning from the work of others in the class. Lots of encouragement is given to each other; that is a great source of positive feedback. ff I stimulate creativity in an environment of openness and non-judgmental acceptance. Some techniques that I nearly always cover are: blocking in color, wet-into-wet blending (oils) , floating and dry brushing (acrylics). Using washes over inking is very easy and fun with good results. Painting Is Like Photography Both artistic painting and photography hang entirely upon lighting and composition and their unique and lively capture. How the shadows, colors, and accents intertwine and where the light bounces around the subject is very exciting. As you become more and more adept in this ability, you will find yourself contemplating your surroundings through a very different set of eyes you never thought you had. In order to be good at anything, you must believe that you can. Focus on the task and practice techniques. Art will clearly change the way you look at the world. Recapture the childlike enthusiasm for making art. DZArtStudio.com DZArtStudio.com Debra Zacharias Winter Springs, Florida
